Interesting offer of the "Lorca walk" for this weekend (12/05/2010)

The program Lorca Foot 2010, organized by the Municipal Sports and Games in collaboration with the Club Senderista of Lorca's Carrasca continues its journey to a new hiking trail.

This time he moved to the hamlet of Torrealvilla, more specifically the Paraje de Zúñiga y La Juncosa, where to begin and finish this route.

It has designed a route suitable for all ages where we can enjoy discovering new parts of the natural and historical heritage of our extensive municipal, doing part of tour of the Caño de Lorca, aqueduct built in the late eighteenth century to to carry water from the Sierra de Pedro Ponce, near Totana Zarzadilla to the city of Lorca.

Also screened by the Alhagüeces, rural landscape of unique beauty, and through the impressive gorge de la Hoz again Zúñiga and La Juncosa, with a total of 14 kilometers, which will be held in about four hours.

Entries can be made until 14:00 pm on Friday in the House of Sport

Also included in the Program Walking Lorca 2010 but within its cultural area, on Friday May 14, 2010, the mountaineer Murcia Juan Carlos García Gallego visit the hall of the IES Ramón Arcas Meca to tell one of his latest adventures the Himalayas.

García Gallego will speak on "Makalu Expedition," which chronicles the rise to 8,000 meters in the Makalu (one of the world's highest mountain) and the ascent in alpine technique to Baruntse. The approach and return to the mountain are made two wild and little-known trekking (Barun river and Sheparni coll), with hills on the 6200 meters at the heart of Himalaya (Nepal).
