The State Fund of 2009 has generated 1,722 direct jobs in Lorca

In 2010 it conducted 58 projects that will create another 500 jobs

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the mayor of Lorca, Francisco Jodar, inaugurated the remodeling of the Community Center Purias Aging, conducted with funding from the State Investment Fund Local 2009.

González Tovar explained that the works have included the complete overhaul of the Social Centre.

On the ground floor is now located a multipurpose room, cafeteria, kitchen and storage area and toilets.

Moreover, on the first floor have been constructed two multipurpose halls, two offices and toilets.

The works have cost 172,500 euros and generated 8 jobs direct, two start-ups and six persons within the contractor.

The delegate stressed the social importance of the multipurpose center in Puri.

"The remodeling of the Senior Citizens Center-Tovar-Gonzalez noted significantly improves these social facilities such importance to the deputation of Puri. Not only has created jobs during construction, will also be generated for the maintenance thereof, while providing an essential service to the greatest of this town. "

Moreover, the government delegate pointed out that Lorca is running 50 projects under the Local Investment Fund, 2009, for a total of 15.9 million euros and with the creation of 1,722 jobs, of which 115 have been newly created and 1,607 jobs in the winning companies integrated.

Regarding the State Fund on Employment and Local Sustainability, which developed in 2010, the City Hall Project Lorca 58 presented a reversal 9.9 million euro.

Of these, 52 are investment in new municipal construction plan to create 489 new jobs and spending programs 6 of social nature.

"In total, Lorca receives from the Government of Spain to 26 million euros in two years: the largest investment in this county for any government in such a short time and that makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will," said the government delegate.
