The aim of this event is to promote specialized bookstores in comics among the general public and offer a unique and festive event to all fans of the world of comics.
In our city, the participating store is "More Than Comics", located on María Agustina Street
The Councilman of Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, and the Manager of "Mas Que Comics", Rafael Pérez, presented this morning the 9th edition of the Free Comic Day, which will take place on Saturday, May 12, and which will be performed in different Spanish cities.
Agustín Llamas explained that "the event is that anyone who enters this day, May 12, in a bookshop specializing in comics, and who participates in this edition, you can take home a copy completely free. They will distribute more than half a dozen of 12 comics published for the occasion that will be distributed in the store "Mas Que Comics", located on María Agustina street.It is worth noting that there are more than 100 participating stores in more than 34 provinces and they will be given away 54,000 copies. The Councilor for Culture has pointed out that "the objective of this event continues to be to promote specialized comic bookshops among the general public and to offer a unique and festive event to all fans of the world of comics, with the aim of turning next Saturday into a great party of the comic From the City Council and from "More Than Comics" we encourage all Lorca to participate in this activity and get into the fabulous world of comics, and all customers who visit the store this day with cosplay are will deliver two free comics. "

Advancement of the complete work before its publication.
24 pages with several scenes and moments selected exclusively for the occasion.
Ed. Aleta: comic book of "The Ministry of Time", first chapter of the second volume of the series, 24 pages.
Ed. Medusa: unpublished comic that includes the material that Valiant will edit for the American FCBD this year;
with an advance of Shadowman 1 (2018), by Andy Diggle, Stephen Segovia, Ulysses Arreola and Simon Bowland;
Valiant Universe 2018, by MJ KIM and an advance of the Prelude to the Harbinger Wars 2, by Eric Heisser, Raúl Allén and Patricia Martín.

This event is held since 2010 thanks to the support of ALCE (Association of comic book libraries in Spain), Comic Zone and editorials such as Aleta Ediciones, Amaniaco Ediciones, Sirius Ring, Astiberri Ediciones, Dibbuks, Dolmen Editorial, Drakul, Edicions de Ponent , Fandogamia, Gp Editions, Editorial Graphite, Malavida, Medusa Comics, Editorial Standard, Panini Comics, Penguin Random House, Comic Planet, Sd Distributions, Twist Comics and Unrated Comics among others, but, above all, has managed to settle in the calendar comiquero thanks to the involvement of all participating stores, the main protagonists of the day.
