This sports group will donate the proceeds to the Association Lorquina de Enfermos de Parkinson (ASLEP) and the project # LightParkinson.

The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, and the president of the Association #retoyosipuedo, Francisco Montes, presented this morning the I Championship of Lorca Powerlifting that will be held this Saturday May 19 in Box Training Center, entity organizing the test.

The Councilor for Sports recalled that "this event has a charitable nature, since all the proceeds will be for the benefit of #retoyosipuedo, which this year donates the benefits to the Association Lorquina de Enfermos de Parkinson (ASLEP) and the project #LuzParaelParkinson" .

Bayonas has indicated that "the Department of Sports is collaborating with this event that will begin on Saturday at 10 in the morning to finish at 1:30 pm From here we encourage all Lorca to enjoy this event where you can see to professionals of recognized prestige and know a little more about this sport ".

The president of the Association #retoyosipuedo, Francisco Montes, explained that from the Box Training Center they got in touch with him, "they wanted to do this charity test and dedicate the collection to #retoyosipuedo 2018 #LuzParaelParkinson.The almost 40 participants have paid 15 € of registration that have been directly entered into the ASLEP account, in total about 500 euros, for which we are very grateful ".

For his part, the director of gymnasium 'Box Training Center', which is located on the Carretera de Aguilas, Erol Cayetano Tuvan Millán, explained that "the test is a Powerlifting competition, which is a weight-lifting modality, which consists of squats, bench press, and deadlift Each participant will have two attempts to see what is the maximum weight they can lift in a repetition.This championship will bring together 27 athletes, 17 men and 10 women in Lorca ".

The vice president of ASLEP, Isabel Morales, once again gave thanks "because all these contributions are allowing us to have tools that can help in the day to day of our users."
