Pedro Sosa, councilor for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the city of Lorca, has denounced this morning the painful situation suffered by urban transport users in Lorca, especially the elderly, lacking most of the bus stops to sit on benches and of canopies that give shade while the wait lasts.

Many are the repeated complaints that in this regard the citizens of Lorca have transmitted to the mayor, after which and after checking the specifications of the last company that was awarded with the urban transport, ALSA, Sosa has been able to verify that the installation of these marquees and banks is not among the demands in the tender, which in his opinion considers a "crime" towards the elderly, by which the ediles of the government team, Mr. Bayonas and Mr. Pelegrín should resign.

As far as Sosa has been able to find out, the company that is responsible for its placement, IMPULSA, is dedicated to advertising and to "mupis", that is, a sector that has nothing to do with transportation, a further disillusionment for this team. government that has spent huge amounts of money in the remodeling of Lorca and has not taken into account something so essential for the welfare of public transport users.

For Sosa, this issue is another sign of the ineffectiveness of this government team in the management and planning of urban transport in Lorca, with contractors that fail to comply with the specifications, remodeling such as the Juan Carlos I avenue in which a lane has not prevailed for public transport and commuter trains more typical of banana-growing countries.

"If instead of having spent the PP the money in airports without airplanes and motorways without cars, I would have invested in what was necessary, now we would have a quality transport, and not the fudge that users have to endure."
