The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, and the presenter of Comarcal TV, Angela Ponce, presented this morning the first "CoMascoting", a solidary walk that will take place next Sunday, June 3 from 10 the morning from the Visitors Center and in which the protagonists will be the pets.
Francisco Montiel said that "with the aim of promoting and promoting the adoption and responsible ownership of pets, as well as to raise awareness among society and children about not abandoning pets, especially in summer, Comarcal TV with the collaboration of the City Council of Lorca has organized this first solidary route "CoMascoting" in which the Canine Unit of the Local Police of Lorca will also participate ".
The Councilor for Tourism added that "it is a fun-educational activity to share with family that we hope to come to our city lovers of pets from different points throughout the Region. They will visit the most emblematic streets of the historic center of Lorca until they finish at the Plaza de España, download the "Marco Topo" mobile application launched by the Tourism Department, through which participants will have to explore the places indicated on their map. adventure (Collegiate Church of San Patricio, MASS, MUBBLA, Huerto Ruano and Corredera street, among others), solve the challenges posed through their mobile phones and paste the corresponding sticker in each test passed ".
Montiel has indicated that "the final collection obtained through the completion of" CoMasconting "will go to Faunasol, a local animal shelter that has low economic resources.The registrations to participate can be made in the study of Comarcal TV, located in Calle Los Guiraos, or the same day of the solidarity walk in the Visitor Center at a price of 5 euros.Thanks to the collaboration of different companies for each registration will be distributed a shirt, as well as gifts and fruit the same day of the route".
The Tourism Edil, finally, has invited "all Lorca to participate and collaborate with this activity that aims to raise awareness and educate society regarding the responsible holding of animals and joins other actions undertaken by the Consistory Lorca as they are the promotion of good habits in the walk of pets through the streets of the city, the campaign of free chipado, the official program of vaccination against rabies, free courses of dog training and the recreational areas for pets located in La Viña, San José and the Plaza de la Virgen de la Amargura, among others ".
