The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has welcomed with prudence and has considered an unprecedented legal success the sentence handed down by the Court of Contentious Administrative n ° 6 of Murcia that gives the reason to the City Council for the tax assessments sent to a company of electricity supply for a combined amount of 7,227,268.5 euros.
This amount, regardless of the resources that may be available, will soon have to be deposited in the municipal coffers, in compliance with the Law.
To this figure we must add, in addition, the settlement corresponding to the late payment interest that has been generated in favor of the Lorca during the time that has elapsed the lawsuit, which according to the forecasts made by the officials of the economic team and municipal tax, around 600,000 euros.
We are talking about the greatest legal and technical success that this City Council has achieved in its history, and for this we congratulate all the officials of the different municipal services that have participated in this achievement.
It has worked very efficiently, with responsibility and rigor, defending the interests of all Lorca above any question.
This ruling also ratifies the special importance that the Local Tax Agency, created by this Municipal Administration, has had to watch over the economic interests of Lorca, attacking the fraud bags detected by large debtors who tried to avoid paying their taxes. taxes.
It is an intense and determined work with which, as we are seeing with the concrete example of this sentence, we win all the citizens.
This City Council will continue working in the same line, initiated by the one who was councilor of this area at the time, Luís Amador, and followed by those who have succeeded him in the economic area with government responsibility.

It is derived from an ordinary procedure originated in 2013, filed by the aforementioned electric company, which rejected the payment of fees corresponding to two energy substations.
