The Plenary Session of the City of Lorca, which the PSOE forced to convene in the wake of social alarm over the disproportionate use of radar, meets on Thursday to order the revocation of the actions taken and the file of disciplinary proceedings.
The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sanchez has stressed that, following the mandatory summoned by the PSOE in the face of the "social alarm triggered by the implementation of the use of radar" the Lorca council will order the cancellation of the sanctioning files issued .
Sánchez Jódar recalls that, as a result of the social alarm provoked by the "disproportionate" use of the radar, the PSOE forced the celebration of a special "mandatory" plenary session to order the suspension of the same.
The order to cancel the sanctions imposed by the radar arrives, therefore, after obtaining the issuance of the mandatory technical reports that justify the need to revoke the actions taken and the consequent archiving of the files, after the explicit acknowledgment of the errors of the misuse of the radar.
From the PSOE, they celebrate that the governing team of the Popular Party, taking into account these technical reports and following the political pressure exerted by the PSOE, since last November of 2017, has finally acknowledged "errors" in the use of the radar and ordered the cancellation of disciplinary proceedings that, in the opinion of the PSOE, were "disproportionately loud".
The PSOE will also take advantage of the next Plenary session to request a detailed road safety study in which the speeds to be established in the different urban roads are reviewed, and if necessary, the modification of the signaling, both vertical and horizontal, where appropriate. of the speed limits.
Similarly, in terms of public safety, the PSOE will again demand in the Plenary the increase in the number of troops that make up the Unit of Attention to Pedanías (UAP) and the Unit of Proximity and Prevention of Citizen Security (UPPSC).
Sánchez Jódar insists on the need to reinforce the number of troops, especially in districts, where surveillance is still "insufficient".
Sánchez Jódar will also demand the "real, effective and permanent" opening of the different Local Police barracks located in the districts of Lorca "closed to the ground since its construction".
Regarding the vehicle park of the Local Police, the PSOE will ask that once the rental period of the vehicles has elapsed, "they will not be acquired but will be renewed through the renting system or another," because it is about vehicles that "are tired of living".
