The PSOE, for the third year in a row, insists that summer cinema programming be done with more neighborhoods and districts.

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, María Antonia García Jiménez has again asked the Councilor for Culture that, in the face of the Summer Film programming, bet to distribute the projections, in addition to the Plaza de Calderón, more areas of the urban center as the Plaza of Spain, or in neighborhoods, such as the parks of La Viña, San José, or Plaza de los Curtidores, in the San Cristóbal neighborhood.
García Jiménez believes that the viewing of the films, which has been going on for years in the Plaza Calderón "should also bring other neighborhoods, squares and / or districts of this city," as a way to extend this summer leisure offer to a greater number of neighbors, regardless of the area. of municipality where they reside, and also of that they can see benefited more commercial areas and hosteleras of the city, also in need of stimuli.
From the PSOE, also, do not forget the districts, so they request that the outdoor cinema also be made known in our councils.
The mayor criticizes the "limited promotion" that is given on the summer cinema in districts and request that the City of Lorca give a "greater publicity" so that citizens are aware of this summer leisure proposal.
The socialist councilor insists that the summer cinema "aúnacultura y ocio, activates the hotel industry in the area where it is projected and invites neighbors to enjoy public spaces", while "having an impact on the welfare of the inhabitants and the Disadvantageous quality, since it makes the environment a more familiar and friendly space ".
In addition, among the proposals made by the PSOE it is included that each time a film is screened, the audience will be offered a talk about the director, scriptwriter or actors of the same, "thus being able to start a small annual cycle that pays homage to the filmmakers. "
In the same way, they request that some of the projections be in the original version, to favor the learning of languages ​​especially among our young people.

García Jiménez considers the initiative to boost trade on Avenida Juan Carlos I "positive", but continues to miss the commitment of the City of Lorca to promote trade in the other commercial areas "also needed."
For the socialist mayor, the city's trade needs "as a whole" a plan for "reactivation" so they claim again that this type of activities be extended to the rest of the city where the trade is equally "very weak" for the crisis and the consequences of the works carried out.
