On Tuesday, June 26, at 8:30 p.m., the anthological exhibition commemorating the 40 editions of the Guadalentín Sports Games will be inaugurated.
The Orchard Ruano will be taken by the sport through this exceptional sample that will allow to take stock of everything achieved by the Lorca Olympics during the last four decades.
The visitors of the exhibition will be able to contemplate the posters of all the editions, the brochures and programs or the medals that were given to the winners.
There will also be exhibited historical photographs that narrate the Olympic Lorca from its beginnings to the present, with special emphasis on facilities where sports were practiced at the end of the 70s, such as Botero.
In the same way, the shirts of each one of the editions celebrated to date will be exhibited, as well as the commemorative t-shirt of the fortieth edition that will start on September 7th.
The exhibition will also include various curious objects from the world of sports, such as boots of ancient tacos, historical balls, traditional bicycles, ... among other surprises.
In the same way it will show another series of incentives of great dimensions that will take the gardens of the Ruano Garden and that will be rotating during the days of exhibition, like rally cars.
The exhibition, organized by the Committee of the Games, will be available to the visitor until July 13, and can be visited from Monday to Friday between 11 am and 2 pm and 5 pm and 8 pm.
In parallel there will be a film series in the Plaza de Calderón.
On Thursday, July 5 at 10 pm, the documentary "Guadalentín Sports Games: 40 Years of Illusion and Effort" will be broadcast to commemorate this event.
On July 12 there will be a series of sports short films, while the film "McFarland, USA" will close the program on Thursday, July 19.
Finally, the cultural program commemorating the 40 years of Games will include a cycle of conferences that will take place on June 28, July 3 and July 10 in the Ruano Garden itself.
