Wonder, C'est la vie, Coco, Dunkirk and Kong, the Skull Island, among the offer of films that can be enjoyed every Tuesday at the Plaza de Calderón (26/06/2018)

This is the program planned within "Summer Film", which includes screenings in Avilés, Coy, Zarzadilla de Totana, Puntas de Calnegre and Almendricos.

The Councilor for Culture in the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, along with the director of the Cineclub Paradiso, Jesús Martínez, has presented the Summer Film program, which will take place during the months of July and August.

As in previous seasons, every Tuesday of the central months of summer we offer the citizens of our municipality a night of cinema like those that once played the long-awaited cinematic terraces distributed by our city.

And, as has been usual until now, with free and free access within the framework of the Plaza Calderón de La Barca.

El Edil de Cultura has anticipated that, as in previous summers, there will be a special program of this program for districts of our municipality that because of its distance from the urban center, they find it difficult to get close to the Calderón de La Barca square.

It will be in Avilés, Coy, Zarzadilla de Totana, Calnegre and Almendricos where again and with a program drawn from the same titles that are projected in the Calderón square itself.

Llamas Gómez has explained that it is about offering a program that tries to combine a quality cinema that entertains, entertains and can be enjoyed by spectators of all types and ages, we begin with it on Tuesday, July 3 with the screening, from 10 pm, from the movie Wonder, a delicious children's melodrama with touches of comedy and an extraordinary cast (Julia Roberts, Mandy Patinkin, Owen Wilson) in which his young protagonist, Jacob Tremblay, stands out.

Wonder is one of those films that dignify the qualifier "for all audiences" because everyone can enjoy and get excited about it.

During the rest of the Tuesdays of July and August and with the same schedule (22:00 h) we will combine a selection of titles of different genres (comedy, historical melodrama, war, action, animation, classic) and nationalities (USA, France, Spain, Italy) among which we can not fail to highlight the great Spanish comedy of this last year: Perfect strangers, with a cast in a state of grace under the command of an inspired Alex de La Iglesia, and which has been recognized as the best film released in our country during the year 2017: Dunkirk, an original and different look at one of the most famous war episodes of World War II.

Likewise, avoid recommending the inclusion of one of the great classics of adventures cinema of all times: The Vikings, a 1958 film that delighted many generations of spectators during many summers and has been considered the best in his genre about this mythical warrior town of northern Europe.

And our closing of programming, on August 28, with one of those marvels of animation cinema with which the PIXAR studios have brought young and old alike with equal enthusiasm to the world of digital animation: Coco, one of the great films of the genre that have come out of this, already mythical, factory demolishing, again, barriers and prejudices to issues hitherto banned from children's cinema.
