Diego José Mateos highlights the exercise of responsibility and coherence of the Government of Spain, which will respect the investments planned for Lorca, among which is the 50% bonus of the IBI to those affected by earthquakes, the construction of the Palace of Justice, the arrival of the AVE, the burying of the railway tracks or the agreement of 3 million euros for investments in districts.

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has highlighted the height of view and the exercise of responsibility and coherence of the new Government of Spain, and President Pedro Sánchez, fulfilling his word to govern with the General Budgets already approved .
The Congress has already given the green light to the General State Budgets for 2018, so Mateos stressed that the Mayor of Lorca "has nothing to fear" because far from the auguries that Gil Jódar himself, it was clear that Pedro Sánchez's commitment is to respect the approved General Budgets to guarantee the political stability of the country.
In this way, Mateos warns, Gil Jódar no longer has anything to worry about in this sense, nor to be alarmed.
As Mateos trusted, all the investments planned for Lorca are maintained and will be respected and executed by the Government of Spain.
Among others, the bonus of 50% of the IBI to those affected by earthquakes, the construction of the Palace of Justice, the future arrival of the AVE, the burying of the railroad tracks or the agreement of 3 million euros for investments in districts.
All of them are treated for investments that have been claimed and supported by the PSOE, also from the opposition, for which "there was no doubt that they would respect and apply"
What Mateos regrets is that in these Budgets that Congress has approved and that Pedro Sánchez will maintain despite the change of Government, do not contemplate "a penny" for such important issues for Lorca as can be the modernization of the Cercanías, the construction of the Lorca-Caravaca highway, an integral recovery plan for the city after the earthquakes, the commissioning of 100% of its capacity for the Águilas desalination plant, or the necessary investments to complete the Avenidas Defense Plan.
These investments were proposed by the PSOE through the amendments presented by the deputies from Murcia, María González Veracruz and Pedro Saura, and were not included by the vote against the Popular Party and Citizens.
