The documentary "Sports Games Guadalentín: 40 years of enthusiasm and effort" was released on Thursday night July 5 in the Plaza de Calderón, opening the Cinema and Sports Cycle that is celebrated within the cultural program commemorating the 40th anniversary of the olympics lorquinas.
The many spectators gathered in Calderón had the opportunity to enjoy the screening of the nearly hour-long documentary directed by Bernardo Hernández.
In it the protagonists of these 40 years take stock on the origins of the Games, the first editions, the birth of local sports clubs, the collaboration of volunteers, their impact on the media, ... all from a single point of coral view, collecting the testimonies of councilors, technical directors, athletes, representatives of clubs or journalists, among others.
The Film and Sports Cycle will return next Thursday July 12 with the organization of a short film night.
The Plaza de Calderón will host at 10 pm the broadcast of "Agora", "Nadadoras", "Real Men Do not Cry" (winner of I CREASPORT in the short film category), "Mi-temps" and "El hombre de the street of the center ".
The cycle will end on Thursday July 19 with the release of the film "McFarland, USA", a feature film that tells the story of the athletics team of an American school that becomes an example of improvement through training and motivation of his coach, played by Kevin Costner.
We must remember in the same way that the anthological exhibition of Guadalentín Sports Games can be visited in the Ruano Garden until next Friday July 13.
It gathers the posters, medals and t-shirts of all editions, as well as rackets, race bikes, a paraglider, the maps of the mountain crossings and even a rally car installed in the garden of the palace itself.
