The PSOE requires the PP to repair the bus stops in districts (16/07/2018)

The dilapidated state of these facilities is further evidence that the Popular Party keeps abandoned to the districts.

Navarro recalls that a year ago the Popular Party, following a denunciation of the Socialist Party, undertook to carry out an inventory of the existing marquees to start the recovery of these facilities without anything having been known since then.

The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca Antonio Navarro has returned to denounce the "dilapidated" state that most of the canopies present school bus stops that are spread across the broad municipal area.

The socialist mayor says that many of these facilities are abandoned since 2007, year in which he entered to govern the Popular Party in Lorca.

Since then, the PP not only has not maintained many of these facilities in the district, but has left them "to die" until they present a "completely ruinous" state.

The mayor demands the government team of the Popular Party to "take advantage of the summer months to start an action plan with the aim of repairing those marquees whose state needs maintenance, and renew those in which the state of deterioration is such that they do not exist anymore. "

Navarro reproaches the Mayor and his team of councilors for the manifest abandonment towards the districts.

Remember that a year ago, and following the public denunciation of the Socialist Party, the PP undertook to carry out an inventory of the approximately 500 bus stops that are scattered throughout the municipality, to begin their recovery.

A year later, Lorca are unaware if the Popular Party has been searching for and counting canopies for a year, or the reality is that they have not the slightest intention of renewing these facilities, judging by the state they continue to present.

Navarro assures that it is one of the generalized complaints of the neighbors, "who have been demanding the renovation of these facilities for years".

The current state forces users, parents, and school children to wait for school transport either "outdoors" or to seek refuge in nearby houses or inside their cars.

Since the PSOE insist that it is a matter of "lack of maintenance."

The abandonment of these facilities is the result of years of abandonment and "zero euros" of investment in a continuous maintenance in districts over time.
