The construction of the new logistic base of Limusa advances with the signing of the contract for the start of the works, which represent an investment of around 2 million euros (30/07/2018)

It is a performance that will be executed by a Lorca company.

Together with the integral modernization project of the Waste Management Center of Barranco Hondo, which entails an investment of 2.25 million euros, it constitutes a strategic project that Lorca will benefit from for decades.

Councilman Delegate of Limusa, Juan Francisco Martinez, has reported that this week the contract is signed with the company awarded the works for the start of construction work of the new logistics base of the company.

We are talking about an infrastructure that has been working over the past few years with the aim of having modern facilities, versatile and close to the urban center, which will respond more quickly, economically and effectively to the demands of cleaning that our municipality presents.

This work, which was attended by a total of 9 companies, started with a bid base budget estimated at € 2,163,568.95, which has been reduced to € 1,909,350.

The processing of this action, which encompassed technical and economic criteria, foreseeing the start of work for this same summer, ending foreseeably throughout the first quarter of 2019. It is a strategic project that will be financed entirely with own resources of Limusa .

It will suppose a remarkable saving to the municipal coffers and will count on buildings that will lodge offices, mechanical workshop, center of washing and clothes for personnel.

This new equipment will allow Lorca to have a much more modern, operational and functional service infrastructure, characteristics that are underlined by their closest location and well connected to the urban center, which allows a capacity to respond to any type of eventuality much faster and more effective, while significantly reducing the effort of moving machinery that is suffered so far.

The new facility for installation of operational base and logistics of Limusa, will have the following buildings and equipment:

- Building for offices administration, meeting room-dining room, changing rooms, workshop, warehouses and laundry vehicles.

- Covered parking for vehicles.

- Parking for judicial deposit of vehicles.

- Control booth access to the premises.

- Booth pressure groups.

General urbanization of compound composed of:

Previous actions, existing demolitions, etc ...

Consolidation and improvement of the land.

Perimeter retaining walls.

Formation of planters and paving.

Sanitation, Stormwater, Low Voltage, Outdoor Lighting, Video Surveillance, etc.

The reference plot is irregular and slightly flat, with an area of 14,045.17 m2, allocated 6,347.22 for installations corresponding to the operational and logistics base and another 4,396.68 m2 for legal vehicle storage.

The urbanization enclosure integrates the constructions to achieve the least visual impact.

More than 1,800 m2 of planters will be located, both in the entire perimeter of the enclosure and in the interior of the plot, with irrigation from the recovery of water from the municipal swimming pools of the Felipe VI complex, the different planters will have a wooded plantation and shrubs (cypresses, oleanders, rosemary, Abelina, Lantana, etc ...) that form a pleasant and quiet environment. We proceed to enable 100 covered parking spaces, through the construction of metal canopies, thus prolonging its useful life.

The area corresponding to the Judicial Deposit of Vehicles will have 4,300 m2 and 199 units for parking.

The water derived from the obligatory renovation of the municipal swimming pools of the Felipe VI Sports Complex will be reused.

To this end, a network has been designed to channel the excess water to the site, which will be reused for irrigation of gardening, laundry and refueling of washing machines, among other issues.

The new logistic base of Limusa will be equipped with a lighting of high energy efficiency by installing more than 100 LED spotlights for the general lighting of the enclosure and its buildings.

Prior to the start of the works are going to perform previous actions such as demolitions and earthworks, foundations, provision of rainwater and sanitation network, outdoor lighting, paving, locksmith, painting, gardening and irrigation, as well as signage.

The total constructed area amounts to 1,412.07 m2, covering 2 floors.

Its distribution includes on the ground floor building for offices administration, meeting room, dining room, changing rooms, workshop, warehouses and laundry vehicles.

The upper floor, on the other hand, includes a warehouse for various uses.

These constructions foresee areas for offices, clothing, workshop and laundry.

Provisional facilities while the works are being executed.

The Delegate Councilor of Limusa, Juan Francisco Martínez, has confirmed that this municipal company will have the temporary facilities that it needs while the final ones are being built, since this is an issue on which work has been carried out with the required foresight. months, as Mr. Mateos was informed, which now appears criticizing, in person.

There is no problem with this issue, beyond what one tries to invent for selfish interests derived from not understanding what the policy consists of.

It is comical to see how someone wants to cover up their lack of initiative and ideas by "hanging medals" of the work that others are doing, even more so when the transfer to a transitory location is agreed with the representatives of both the service and the workers.

It is public knowledge what the PSOE was doing with Limusa, now things have changed radically.
