Pedro Sosa, councilor for Izquierda Unida Verdes in the town hall of Lorca, has appeared this morning before the media at the Nuestra Señora de los Dolores park in the San Diego neighborhood, along with Fermina Re, president of the Rabaleros Neighborhood Association and Baba Seidu, president of the Association of Ghanaians of Lorca, and neighbors and merchants in the area to demand that the government team take measures in the face of the lack of citizenship of the people who fail to comply with the municipal ordinances in terms of cleanliness and citizen coexistence.

To facilitate the integration of the different groups that live in these neighborhoods, Sosa will present as a proposal to the September plenary session, the creation of local police, that is, local police officers patrolling on foot in these neighborhoods to explain and monitor the correct fulfillment of the municipal ordinances.

"The ordinances are not only to fine with radars, but they must also be applied to punish those who throw garbage at the wrong time or behave incivilly bothering their neighbors," says the councilman.

The fact that, for example, the garbage is not deposited in a timely manner, causes certain individuals to empty and scatter the garbage around the containers, causing a terrible image of the city and neighborhoods, and causing inconvenience to the neighbors around.

To avoid the overcrowding of homes, Sosa demands Urbanism to establish controls to ensure its habitability and avoid overcrowding, and Social Services requests that people who receive municipal assistance, are alerted with their withdrawal if they behave incivilly, and that establish controls and measures to prevent the "ghettoization" that occurs in the Barrio area, such as preventing the entire immigrant school population from concentrating in certain schools.

For its part, Fermina Giner, has emphasized that this complaint is not against the immigrant population, but in favor of creating a climate of collaboration among all groups that guarantee coexistence.

For this, from the Association of Rabaleros who presides, guidelines have been printed with the rules of coexistence in Arabic to distribute them among the shops governed by Maghrebis, but this measure and other similar will not be effective in their opinion, but are accompanied by police on foot to ensure compliance.

Finally, Baba Seidu, president of the Association of Ghanaian Lorca, said that his group only wants to earn a decent living and live in peace and harmony in Lorca, and recalled that while a soulless leads to several arsons around the Castle, the collective that presides has previously reforested more than 3,000 trees and shrubs in the vicinity of the pylons, in addition to other activities for the benefit of the city, such as cleaning the course of the river Guadalentín and institutes.
