Sosa also demands forcefulness to PP and PSOE so that they fulfill the commitments acquired with the affected

That the City of Lorca, urge the Government of Spain to prioritize the actions contained in Royal Decree 18/2016 of January 15, which approves the flood risk management plans of the river basin districts, including the one of the Segura, in those referring to the Guadalentín Valley.

Prioritizing the construction of rolling dams in the ravines of Nogalte, Béjar and Torrecilla, as well as the necessary drainage channels to Rambla de Biznaga, for draining water from these areas.

That the City of Lorca, together with the Regional Government develop an institutional campaign to raise awareness among the local population about the risk of flooding and ways of acting before, during and after a flood, especially among the school population.

That on the part of the competent administrations in the planning and management of the territory, a coherent and rational urban practice is carried out where the special territorial conditions of the area in regard to the risk of flooding are taken into account: application of land uses and planning figures, licensing and exhaustive control in the performance of actions in the public and private domain.
