The Councilor for Health added that "the technicians of the Department of Health came to the place immediately after being aware of this fact and found no more spider of this species so that only has proof of the two copies that this neighbor found in his house, not a dozen as Izquierda Unida says, in this sense, it is important to point out that the Consistory of Lorca has fumigated the area so that no case like this one is repeated. "
Ruiz explained that "there is no need to create any kind of social alarm among Lorca as it is a spider that is not poisonous to humans and that is indigenous to our area." The females of Cyrtauchenius walckenaeri usually exceed 25 mm in length (slightly less males), which together with its dense hairiness, brown in females and black in males, and the robust appearance typical of migalomorphic spiders, gives an appearance imposing to the copies.
They are active predators generally of other arthropods ("bugs": cockroaches, grasshoppers ...) alive and of considerable size.
In addition, they usually live in pine forests, low scrub, dry land, thyme, fields ... .. of the Levantine zone.
