Popular March and Run for Parkinson star in the first weekend of the 40th Sports Games of the Guadalentín (06/09/2018)

The 40th edition of the Guadalentín Sports Games will be inaugurated this Friday, kicking off 6 weeks of sports that will host 62 activities of all kinds;

in fact during this first weekend will be 6 events to be held, some as prominent as the Inaugural Day or the Run for Parkinson.

As 40 years are not met every day, the Inaugural Day will be at the height of the anniversary and for that a very special agenda has been programmed called to open the Lolquina Olympics in style.

The Plaza de España will be the epicenter of the inauguration during Friday evening.

From the 19 hours will be enabled registration posts both on Calle Álamo and through Calle Santiago.

At 7:30 p.m., a pop-rock concert and 80s and 90s versions will begin to animate the afternoon, until at 8:20 p.m. there will be a draw for gifts among all registered participants before 8:15 p.m.

The departure will be at 20:30, the march being preceded by the torch that athletes and club representatives will carry during the tour through the streets of Lorca of just over an hour and a quarter.

When you return to the Plaza de España, you will proceed to the official opening with a show of lights, sound, music, fireworks and many more surprises.

The IV Heavy Lance Tournament organized by the City of Lorca Sports Fishing Club will be held on Saturday.

Launchers from all over the national geography (Cantabria, Canary Islands, Catalonia, Andalusia, ...) will meet at the Serrata track to launch as far as possible in this competition that has been consolidated in the City of the Sun during the last years.

The Table Tennis will also be the protagonist of the weekend with the celebration of a spectacular Open City of Lorca that hopes to surpass records of previous editions since more than a hundred paddlers will take part.

The Pavilion of San José will become the headquarters of this attractive tournament that will be played, in its different categories, during the days of Saturday and Sunday.

With the arrival of the Games could not miss the bicycle tests.

On Saturday afternoon will take place the Inter-school Road Race Trophy in which the young promises of the regional teams will participate.

It will be held from 16.30 in the circuit located in the vicinity of the Ana Caicedo School.

On Sunday will come one of the highlights of the weekend and the entire agenda of the Games: the popular race Run for Parkinson that this year will have by exit and arrival Avenida Juan Carlos I at the height of Las Columnas.

At 10 o'clock in the morning it will be the absolute race to, after its completion, celebrate the races destined to the youngest runners.

The agenda will be closed during Sunday's day with the traditional Pétanque Fair Trophy, which will take place during the morning and afternoon on the petanque courts of San Diego Park.

But the sport will not stop with the start of the week, quite the contrary, because Monday will be Healthy Monday.

This activity that aims to put initiation sport to all kinds of people regardless of their age moves this year to the districts.

Coy will enjoy the first session at 7.30 pm and by the hand of physical trainer Antonio J. Vidal.

And for the rest of the week we will have Playing Athletics in the Street on Wednesday afternoon in the Alameda de la Constitución, football, water aerobics and an extensive sports agenda to commemorate the four decades of Olympic Lorca.
