Mateos asks Gil Jódar for explanations for the paralysis experienced by the remodeling project of the neighborhood of La Salud and Cristo Rey, whose contract has been signed for two months without the final project being approved or having begun the works.

The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has demanded Gil Jódar to make it possible that neighbors and merchants of the neighborhood of La Salud and Cristo Rey can return to consult the project of urban regeneration of its streets, so that it can be adapted to the real needs of the neighborhood.

In this way, Mateos wants to take advantage of the unjustified delay that affects these works so that neighbors and traders can participate directly in the design of the final project, and not occur as in the other neighborhoods of the city, whose remodeling works have have been alien to the opinion and the real needs of those who, in the end, are the ones who have to enjoy the results of these works.

Similarly, Mateos has demanded "speed" at the start of these works, since the project has been delayed again.

In this sense, Mateos has demanded that Gil Jódar clarify what is happening so that this project is "paralyzed", after the July 10 formalized the works contract between the Autonomous Community and the winning bidder.

Since the work was awarded on June 11, for the amount of 2,018,128.75 euros, and the works contract was signed with the company in July, "neither the final project is approved, nor have they started the works ".

This new delay "unjustified" adds to the years that have had to pass so that this neighborhood was included "at last" among urban regeneration projects, after this area was "directly excluded" from the areas of action of neighborhoods Nearby, such as La Viña or Alfonso X. One of the most "obvious" cases of the planning that the Popular Party has done "at a stretch" of the urban regeneration works of the city after the earthquakes.
