The Spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Diego José Mateos said Wednesday that the Minister of Development, José Luis Ábalos, with whom he has held a meeting this afternoon with those affected by the return of earthquake aid, has shown his willingness to continue "exploring ways and streamlining procedures" to solve this problem that affects thousands of families in Lorca.

Similarly, during the meeting Mateos has also been able to address with the Minister the importance of speeding the arrival of the AVE to Lorca, and of course, to get a layout of the underground railway greater than the one left by the previous Popular Party Government.

Since a week ago he was aware of the visit to the city of Murcia by Minister Ábalos, the Secretary General of the PSOE in Lorca, Diego José Mateos was personally involved to get this "first visit of a Minister of the Government of Spain with those affected by this problem. "

After many calls, and taking into account the "tight" of the Minister's agenda, Mateos highlights the special attention received from José Luis Ábalos, with which they get the central government to be aware in first person of the situation of these families

"We knew that it was necessary to get this meeting, as we have been asked by those affected on numerous occasions."

During the meeting, the representatives of the Platform of Affected Persons were able to present a dossier in which they have communicated their concern to the minister, and with which to address aspects such as the need to clarify, under the State Attorney's report, the prescription of the Right of the administrations to request the reimbursement of the aids;

the cancellation of the state part of interest for late payment or the need to continue exploring ways of collaboration between administrations to facilitate the processing of administrative files.

Mateos thanked the Minister for his special disposition, whose attention is evident "before and after" in terms of the interest of the Government of Spain in addressing and seeking solutions to the concerns of these families.

"The mere fact of meeting our request to meet with those affected is a big step, and a clear difference from the previous Government", which shows that the Government of Pedro Sanchez, unlike the previous one, has an active position in continue looking for ways to solve this problem.

In fact, Mateos recalls that the "supposed interest" of the former central executive was already proven when last April, during the visit to Lorca of the Minister of Development with Rajoy, Mr. Gómez de la Serna "did not meet with the affected of this problem, no one deigned to ask or to claim a meeting with him in this regard.
