The Castle Synagogue of Lorca will host tomorrow the V edition of the Jewish Lorca Festival with guided tours, specialized music, tastings and children's activities (13/09/2018)

The Festival of Contemporary Jewish Culture is organized by the City Council and Lorca Taller del Tiempo with the aim of being an alternative of leisure and Jewish culture of relevance for the Levant, as well as to offer a new tourist and cultural incentive

The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Lorca, Francisco Montiel, presented this morning the V Edition of the Jewish Contemporary Culture Festival "Jewish Lorca" to be held on Friday September 14 at the site of the Fortress of the Sun and in which We will have the opportunity to enjoy specialized music, gastronomy, guided tours and activities for the little ones.

Francisco Montiel pointed out that "we are talking about a cultural proposal that reinforces the status of Lorca as a place of knowledge and reflection on a key culture in history but also the contemporary world." This Festival is organized by the City Council and Lorca Taller del Tiempo with the objective of continuing being an alternative of leisure and culture of relevance for the Levant, as well as to offer a new tourist and cultural incentive.

The Councilor for Tourism has detailed that "the program that makes up this V" Jewish Lorca "begins at 6:35 pm with a guided tour of the Jewish quarter and the synagogue, after which, at 19:35 hours the children's show will take place "Golem workshop", where the youngest children will be able to enter the Jewish culture in a fun way and learn the customs of our ancestors. At 20:30 a kosher wine tasting will be offered and at 9:00 a.m. concert with the performance of "Músicos de Ureña", a group formed by Luis Delgado, César Carazo and Jaime Muñoz who will present the "Hidden Repertoire of Sefarad." The activities will be held in the synagogue of Castillo de Lorca and are accessible Free until full capacity. "
