The councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes, Gloria Martín, has denounced a new deficiency in the regeneration works of the Alameda de Cervantes.

Martin recalled that the work will have a cost of 3.2 million euros and had to be completed last July, so he complained again about the slowness of the work attributed to the lack of workers hired by the company concessionaire

"The delay is increasing the damage caused to neighbors and merchants, despite all the warnings we have made in this regard," he said.

As if that were not enough, "the local government team of the PP sold neighbors idyllic images that have little to do with the final result," said Martin.

"Neither enough parking spaces nor underground containers and we'll see how the rest are," he warned.

This is not to mention that the Railway Infrastructure Administrator (ADIF), under the Ministry of Public Works, has halted the regeneration works in the zone of the level crossing and in part of the Camino Marín, "as long as the informative study of the urban integration of adaptation of the high performance of the railway network "as it passes through the city.

The mayor of IU-Greens demanded that the works comply "scrupulously" with the technical specifications agreed upon because otherwise "it would be a scam".

He also asked for the placement of underground containers "as planned."
