The Regional Government (PP) recognizes that the hospital with the lowest expenditure per inhabitant of the entire Region of Murcia is Rafael Méndez (03/10/2018)

The Rafael Méndez hospital keeps in line with each and every one of the expense indicators in the public hospitals of the Region.

Marisol Sánchez assures that these data made public by the Portal of Transparency of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia are a "kick" that brings back to reality the Mayor Gil Jódar and the regional President López Miras

The deputy spokesman of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Marisol Sánchez Jódar has ensured that the data made public by the Autonomous Community, in which it is revealed that the Rafael Méndez hospital is in line with all the expense indicators in public hospitals of the Region, they are a real "kick" that returns López Miras and Mayor Gil Jódar to the "reality" suffered daily by professionals and health users in area III of Lorca.

As shown in these data, the Rafael Méndez de Lorca hospital receives a total health cost per inhabitant of 601.82 euros, while in personnel costs, it receives a total of 294.83 euros per inhabitant.

These figures are up to "three times less" than what is allocated, also per inhabitant, in hospitals such as the Virgen de la Arrixaca.

The mayor assures that it is "understandable", that in the Virgen de la Arrixaca hospital, a reference for the entire Region, the Regional Government spends more than in Rafael Méndez.

However, he assures that the difference that exists in Murcia is "disproportionate", an area in which it is invested up to 1,065.76 euros more than in area III of Lorca per inhabitant.

What is "not understandable" is that of the nine health areas of the entire Region of Murcia, the hospital where the least money is invested per inhabitant and by health personnel is Rafael Méndez ".

The mayor says that these data give reason to the continuous and insistent public complaints made by the Socialist Party in defense of users of public health in Lorca and in the set of municipalities in area III.

"These data are the most evident evidence that shows why Lorca is at the tail of public health in the region and the country," said the mayor.

According to Sánchez Jódar, this lack of investment now recognized by the Regional Government explains the lack of personnel and material and structural resources that, on a daily basis, translates into endless waiting lists for diagnostic tests, first consultations for specialists and surgical operations;

in the saturation of primary care and in the collapse of emergency services, and of course in the overload of health professionals and in continuous damage to people's health.

He insists that the embarrassing waiting lists translate into delays in accessing diagnostic tests, first consultations and surgical interventions, which do nothing more than "delay diagnoses and, with that, delay treatments, putting the health of people".

Therefore, the mayor has assured that neither Gil Jódar nor López Miras are credible when they boast of investments and improvements in area III of health.

"The PP, when it talks about health, takes our hair and laughs at Lorca and Lorca."

"These data are incontestable, beyond their continuous lies and bluffing."
