The spokesman of the Government Team in the City of Lorca, Francisco García, has reported that technicians from different areas of the City Council have been working since it was reported yesterday night of the fire in a building on Martin Piñero Street.

The current situation of the property, on whose owners weighed several orders of execution decreed by the Department of Urbanism, is that part of the floor of the second floor has collapsed, while the safety and stability of other elements will be checked.
At the discretion of the technician who has supervised it, at the moment there is no situation of imminent risk of falling or collapse.
In any case, and waiting for the owners to comply with their legal obligations and responsibilities as owners, the house has been sealed, and access to it is prohibited.
The owners of the property in question will soon receive a report on the status of their property so that they can take charge of the repair work they are obliged to carry out to restore the safety of this construction.
We must emphasize that both on this, and on another property located at number 13 of the same street, weigh several orders that have been repeatedly ignored by the owners, in which it is specifically stated that they had to proceed to the " eave sanitation, with removal and replacement of the shingles and vegetation removal, cleaning the interior of the building and balconies of rubbish and debris as well as closing or bricklaying the holes to the public road ".
In fact, before the negligence of the owners, it was necessary to publish a few days ago (September 25) in the Official State Gazette (BOE) an express notification of the Urban Planning Intervention Service anticipating the warning prior to the start of subsidiary execution ( we attach copy).
The PSOE recovers its worst side taking advantage of a misfortune.
Francisco Garcia has indicated that being able to say that it is "the task of the City of Lorca is still to execute the necessary cleaning of unoccupied lots and homes," as the PSOE has said, is lying to Lorca.
It is not the City Council that has to clean the private lots, that is the direct obligation of the owners, something that the PSOE hides to twist reality.

Trying to take political advantage in the face of a disgrace is something that we considered that the PSOE would not do again.
Just remember that when the PSOE ruled several houses owned by the City Council collapsed, not remembering other unfortunate episodes before which we instead of trying to "take out", as they do today, we had the hand to coordinate projects and offer solutions to neighbors.
This is not a political decision, it is that the historic center is paying the irresponsibility of the owners of the buildings, which leave the abandoned houses and it may not be that we have to be the rest of citizens who pay for the maintenance of these properties .
Procrastination is the fault of the owners, regardless of which party governs at City Hall.
