The commission of Territorial Policy, Environment, Agriculture and Water has unanimously approved a motion defended by the Popular Parliamentary Group in which the Government of Spain is asked to pardon, the beneficiaries of aid for the earthquakes of Lorca, the interests produced by the subsidy reimbursement files.

"It is a fair and necessary measure that is already being applied by the Government of the Region of Murcia as it is included in the Budget of the Autonomous Community of 2018," he said to add that it is "to forgive 50% of interest of delay of the files of return of helps, not to aggravate the situation of the affected ones ".

The autonomic deputy of the PP has indicated that the mentioned interests of delay would suppose to add to refunds superiors to the 13 million euros an extra cost of 456,000 euros "that would fall in the pockets of the lorquinos damaged by the earthquakes of 2011. We can not forget that We are talking about granting aid for rent, repair and reconstruction of homes seven years ago that have been abandoned by their recipients or those who can not justify them, "he said.

Francisco Jódar has asked the government of Spain, "commitment and responsibility to adopt, as soon as possible, the decisions that exempt these citizens from the payment of interest for some aid that ultimately have not benefited."

Jódar said that "we are talking about a considerable amount of money" and recalled that in total more than 16,000 files have been processed, 7,885 grants have been granted for an amount exceeding 80 million euros.

The popular deputy in the regional parliament has underlined "the unconditional support of President Fernando López Miras with those affected by the earthquakes."

And he has referred to the law passed last July in the Regional Assembly, at the proposal of the Popular Party, in order to provide the residents of Lorca the justification of the aid received for the repair of their homes.

The commission has given green light, also unanimously, to the motion defended by the popular deputy, Miguel Cascales in which the autonomous community is urged to, in collaboration with the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia, homogenize the regulations on the use of bicycle lanes in order to harmonize and regulate the use of these lanes.
