From the Fencing Club of Lorca had a very special appointment prepared to commemorate 40 years of Guadalentín Sports Games.
And after the celebration of two editions of the City of Lorca Tournament since the arrival of fencing in the local sports agenda in 2016, this time they have opted to change the modality and give visibility to this sport through an exhibition in a Luxury scenario like the Mercado del Sol.
In the historic center of Lorca, on Calle Pío XII, this gourmet market hosted an attractive day on Saturday morning in which a dozen shooters participated.
The format adopted by the test was the exhibition tournament in the form of children's foil.
The opportunity to see such an aesthetic competition in such a charming setting led to a spectacular day that pleased, much, the spectators who came, but also to the curious that when going to the Market or walking through the streets they had the surprise of find a whole fencing tournament thanks to the initiative of the Club Lorca.
As for the medals of the Games, given by the Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, the gold went to Roque Quiñonero, the silver for Jorge Ruiz and the bronze for Pablo Lacal, being fourth Cristian García.
