The Councilor for Equality of the City of Lorca, Juan Francisco Martínez, and the president of the Federation of Women's Organizations of Lorca, Pilar Fernandez, presented this morning the actions that this municipal area has organized for this Sunday in the hamlet of Aguaderas Lorca to commemorate the Rural Women's Day, which is celebrated today October 15.
Juan Francisco Martínez explained that "the objective of this day of coexistence in which more than 300 women from the city and the districts of Lorca will participate is to exchange experiences, customs, traditions and typical products, for a mutual sociocultural enrichment. The local neighborhood association will be used in this morning and afternoon activity that will begin at 10:30 am at the Ermita del Sacristán, under the slogan "We leave a mark.

The Councilor for Equality added that "the collective of women is a key piece in the development of our districts, in fact, along with the usual domestic work itself, have also been at the head of livestock and agricultural operations, a work that we highlight in a special way during this day.In addition, during the day there will also be recreational, musical and theatrical activities and gastronomic products typical of Lorca will be elaborated.The complete program of activities is as follows:

Reception of the participants with chocolate and donuts by the AA.MM Aguaderas, bread with oil and the music of the Cuadrilla de Auroros.
11:30 am
Colloquium table: "Past, present and future experiences" in which a beekeeper, a cattle rancher and a farmer of organic products will participate.
2:30 p.m.
Food with typical products of Lorca cuisine (paprika cake, rice and turkey, torta lorquina, crackling cake of the AA.MM of Ramonete, wort cakes of the AA.MM de Coy and Huertanicos of the AA.MM de Tercia , among others).
After lunch, there will be a magic performance by Pedro Lucas and a play by the AA.MM of San Cristóbal.
Martinez stressed that "with this complete program and with this act, from the City of Lorca we want to pay tribute to women who live in rural areas, to their effort, personal and family sacrifice and, in a special way, to the work they carry at term and that contributes to the progress of the social framework they live in. Lorca has a very extensive municipal area in which a large part of the population lives in rural areas, so we organized this event to give visibility to all our Lorca " .
