The councilor of Izquierda Unida-Verdes de Lorca, Gloria Martín, has asked the municipal government team to reopen the park located on Santa Clara Avenue, next to the stake tracks.
During the works of urban regeneration of Avenida Juan Carlos I, this space was used as a place for the collection of construction materials.
But, once these are completed and as long as Santa Clara Avenue itself does not begin, Martín demands that the park be re-enabled, as demanded by the residents of the area through the requests that have been made to the Group. Municipal de IU-Verdes.
According to Martín, despite having an important child population, the parks closest to Avda. Santa Clara, are in San Diego and Las Alamedas, which forces the children of the area to move to an area away from your home to enjoy a place of leisure and recreation.
In this regard, Martin has called for the replacement and restitution of this green area, as well as the implementation of new ones taking advantage of the regeneration works pending to be undertaken.
Falls due to bad state of urban furniture
Gloria Martin has also requested the repair of the street furniture of Nogalte Street, in front of the church of Carmen, which has caused significant injuries to a neighbor who fell after getting stuck in the nail of a bank that is not anchored to the ground.
Martín has asked that the seat be fixed again and that the sharp elements be eliminated as it is an area frequented by children and elderly people.
At the same time, he has asked for more control over the state of public spaces in the city to avoid accidents and injuries to citizens and, in addition, these are translated into patrimonial claims for lack of maintenance of the City Council.
