The Minister of Water, Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Miguel Angel del Amor, participated today in Lorca at the inauguration of the XXVI National Bonsai Congress and, within it, the exhibition organized by the Japanese Embassy to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Spain and the Asian country and the history of this type of cultivation.
Councilor Miguel Angel of Love stressed that the Region of Murcia "has numerous fans and collectors of these small trees" and explained that from the Integrated Training Center and Agricultural Experiences (CIFEA) of Molina de Segura, dependent on the Ministry, They are carrying out actions of promotion and training in bonsai techniques.
"Since 2014, this center shares a permanent exhibition with 30 specimens of different species, unique in the Region of this magnitude", said the counselor.
He also recalled that "this CIFEA develops a basic course of bonsai and another of creative arboriculture and urban landscaping".
