The 24th, 25th, 29th and 30th of October will be held in the auditorium of the University Campus of Lorca the 1st Conference on Fragility and Falls in older people organized by the Poncemar Chair of Gerontology at the University of Murcia
The days are continuous training, free, are accredited and aimed at professionals from the sociosanitary branches of care for the elderly: nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, pharmacists, graduates in sports science, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and doctors
Seven tables are programmed each from a professional branch, 4 workshops, involving 25 renowned speakers in each discipline and 140 professionals have registered.
In the preparation of the program have participated, in addition to the Advisory Board of the Chair, the Professional Professions affected and representatives of the Murcian health service
The objective is to update and review the knowledge of professionals in the socio-health branches regarding frailty and falls in elderly people
The opening ceremony is on Wednesday 24 at 4:00 pm and will have the Vice-rector of Coordination and Assistance Services of the University of Murcia, as well as representatives of the Lorca City Council, the Faculty of Sociosanitary Sciences and the Poncemar Foundation.
