On October 31, from 8:00 pm until dawn, this adaptation will be performed in 4 exceptional scenarios: the MASS cloister, the Virgin of Lourdes courtyard, the temporary exhibition hall and the San Francisco church
The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, along with the President of Paso Azul, José María Miñarro and the blue majordomo Juan José García Mínguez, presented the "Noche del Tenorio", which will take place in the MASS during the night of the October 31 and in which the Department of Culture of the Consistory collaborates.
Llamas pointed out that "as it is already tradition for Lorca and El Paso Azul, the night of the dead will be lived in Lorca in a different way thanks to the participation of more than 50 actors, all of them mayordomos and blue supporters who, with the aim of recovering the Spanish traditions, a few years ago they decided to represent in attractive venues such as the MASS and the church of San Francisco the immortal work of José Zorrilla ".
"La Noche del Tenorio" will be held from 8 pm until dawn.
It is an adaptation of "Don Juan Tenorio" by José María Pérez Muelas, directed by María Ramona Molina Pinar and produced by Juan José García Mínguez.
The work is divided into four acts, each representing a group of different actors in various places around San Francisco: the MASS cloister, the Virgin of Lourdes courtyard, temporary exhibition hall and the church of San Francisco .
The viewers will go through the different scenarios following the plot line of the work and enjoying both this classic of our lyrics and the incomparable heritage of San Francisco.
Passes will be made every 45 minutes and, given the limited capacity, ticket sales are anticipated.
Tickets can already be purchased at the MASS at the price of 7 euros, reserving the specific time at which you want to attend the function.
It is an adaptation that respects the work to the maximum and that wants to bring to the town of Lorca one of the most representative histories of Spanish literature in an attractive and especially original way.
The President of the Blue Step has indicated that "one more year, after the excellent result of the previous editions, the Blue Step brings to Lorca this activity with the aim of invigorating the cultural life of the municipality and spreading the best of the arts from a space of such value as the one composed by San Francisco and the MASS, the spectators will be able to contemplate an adaptation in which the actors have been working since June and which will be developed in real scenarios, so it will be a surprising and enriching experience "
