The Ministry of Development and Infrastructure will divert traffic on the RM-D8 highway, which connects Lorca with its district of Aguaderas, and which crosses the Biznaga ravine, as a result of the improvement works carried out on that regional road.
Next week the alternative cuts to traffic will begin and from November 15, the road will be closed until the end of the work.
The general director of Roads, Francisco González Manzanera, accompanied by the councilman of Promotion and Infrastructures, Ángel Meca, explained that the alternative to the use of the highway RM-D8 is to circulate through the roads Piña, Almohijar and Real or of Los Valencianos.
The alternative route enabled is already conveniently marked.
González indicated that this solution has been agreed with the pedáneos and neighbors of the area with the aim of ensuring the perfect mobility of the users of this road and noted that it is guaranteed entry to the farms next to the Rambla Biznaga ..
The construction of a new bridge on the RM-D8 highway, which crosses the Biznaga ravine of Lorca, began in September, with a regional investment of 1.2 million euros and a completion time of 10 months.
