The extraordinary plenary session that the PSOE has forced, through the signature of its eight councilors, to address the serious situation of health in the municipality of Lorca and propose solutions has a date: it will be next Monday, November 19, starting at 10:15 am, in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall of the City of the Sun.

Mateos has made a public appeal to users, professionals and groups of public health to attend this public debate that should serve as a "starting point" for the City of Lorca to adopt, once and for all, a demanding position towards the Regional Government.

Since the PSOE its decision to force the holding of this Plenary, "there have been positive movements" in favor of the improvement of health care in area III "although they are still insufficient".

Without going any further, and following this call, the regional government has announced the next reopening of the afternoon consultations at the San Diego health center, as well as the start of the promised works in the pediatric area of ​​the same.

"Both issues were going to be debated, and again claimed, in this plenary so we celebrate that our initiative has served to move the threads that were needed to advance these measures," says Mateos.

The PSOE will take advantage of this Plenary session to once again demand that the Mayor know how to demand from President López Miras the necessary investments to correct the serious asymmetries that exist between health areas, both in primary care, as well as in the hospital and in the emergency room.

"It is urgent to undertake a definitive shock plan with which to solve the shameful and illegal waiting lists that we suffer in area III of health."

In addition, the PSOE will insist on the need to build a new health center Lorca-San Cristóbal.

"It's the only effective solution to relieve the daily saturation of the San Diego health center."

In the same way, they will demand the extension of the public parking of the Rafael Méndez de Lorca General Hospital.
