December 16, 2018. The Councilor for Culture of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, announced the celebration of a new cycle of two new courses at the Popular University of Lorca under the title "Your well-being. What you can do for your well-being , youth and your labor insertion ".

The mayor noted that "both actions are part of the state program of implementation in autonomous communities and aims to promote awareness and awareness for personal, social and employment integration in conditions of equality and promoting the employability of people in situations of exclusion The cycle, aimed at women, is funded by the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality and has the collaboration of the Spanish Federation of Popular Universities and the Department of Culture, Local Development and Equality of the City of Lorca.

The first of these courses is aimed at women for raising awareness and awareness for equality.

It has a duration of 75 hours, imparted from January 21 to February 22, from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Its objective is to bring women who are far away from the labor market, improving their employability and their access to employment.

It also promotes the use of ICTs to reduce gender inequalities and encourages the creation of ties and support networks among women to reduce isolation, based on their job search processes.

The second of the courses, also aimed at women, is aimed at promoting employability, self-employment and entrepreneurship.

It consists of a total of 75 hours, being held from January 28 to February 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Its objective is to promote employability, self-employment, entrepreneurship and social insertion of the population, both young and adult, in rural areas and neighborhoods through training in basic skills, ICT and distribution networks.

Both cycles include computer science with the management of Office and 2.0 networks, training for employment in customer service and administrative assistant, the empowerment of women or motivation, among others.
