The councilor of the PSOE in the City of Lorca, Andrea Periago has announced that at the next plenary session will defend measures to ensure socio-health coverage claimed by people with fibromyalgia and their families in area III, after addressing these proposals in a recent meeting with the Association of Fibromyalgia of Lorca (AFILOR).
Periago recalled that fibromyalgia is a complex syndrome, characterized by generalized pain, difficult to diagnose and also, it is common to be associated with other diseases.
"These circumstances make it even more difficult to diagnose and treat them, but without a doubt, today, what most affects these people continues to be incomprehension."
Therefore, the socialist mayor says that "it is necessary to continue working and cooperating to continue giving visibility to these groups, advance awareness of the symptoms and above all promote improvements in socio-health care."
The motion that will defend the PSOE seeks to make visible the struggle of this group, and help achieve the improvements they need, and for that, he insists, "it is necessary to claim, once again, more means and more resources to guarantee the quality of the health care they deserve. "
From the Socialist Group will claim that the City of Lorca, in collaboration with different administrations, state and regional, promote the development of campaigns for information, awareness and dissemination of knowledge about fibromyalgia and fatigue syndrome chronicle.
