The PSOE takes to the Plenary of Lorca the lamentable state of conservation of the Tower of Mena, in the Hoya (25/01/2019)

The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos will demand Gil Jódar in the plenary session of the session to stop the deterioration of the tower of Mena, a monument located in La Hoya, as well as promoting actions aimed at its recovery and valorization from this watchtower Almohade dating from the XII-XIII century.

Mateos has revealed the worrying deterioration in which this monument is located, because due to the carelessness of the administration, it crumbles, day by day, with the danger, in addition to its elements falling off the hillside and falling on the nearby highway A-7.

It is a watchtower Almohade XII-XIII century, which controlled the passage through the Guadalentín Valley, and whose location is located on a small hill located 310 meters behind the neighborhood of San Víctor and next to the highway A-7
