The Councilors of Squares and Markets and Local Development of the City of Lorca, María del Carmen Ruiz and Sandra Martínez, respectively, have informed this morning that the Municipal Council will carry out improvement actions in the Plaza de Abastos de Lorca.

The performance of improvement of the premises will consist of removing the existing luminaires in corridors, replacing them with another model of low consumption and high energy efficiency.
The luminaires to be removed are 22 watertight fluorescent tube surface screens, 46 new LED screens embedded in the plaster ceiling, to improve both the aesthetics and lighting of the corridors, placing 4 of these new luminaires in the entrance area main, where the type of plaster is changed.
In addition, 30 m2 of metal slatted ceiling existing in the main entrance will be removed, replacing it with a new one at the same height and with the same type of plates that are in the rest of the square.
In addition, the damaged and broken plaster plates will be emplaced in the ceiling challenge of the premises.
The access steps at the rear entrance adjoining the Parking area will be repaired, while the lower part of the lower part of the wall on the right will be plastered.
The rear facade of the Plaza and the existing metal railing on the access ramp will be painted, giving two coats of paint of the same color.
Sandra Martinez has indicated that "the improvement works of the Plaza de Abastos, which have a municipal investment of 4,000 euros and a deadline of one month, will be carried out by 22 beneficiaries of public employment programs developed by the City Council, being the same the ÁGORA Program (electrotechnical and telecommunications facilities) of which 8 students and 1 monitor will participate, the municipal masonry squad with two first class officers and the LABORO Program (decorative painting under construction) with 10 students and 1 monitor ".
It should be noted that the Plaza de Abastos de Lorca is located in the Alameda de Cervantes and has about 700 m2 of surface, which responds to the interests of the pleasure to be located in a central location.
