The Councilor for Sports of the City of Lorca, Juan Miguel Bayonas, has reported the solidarity march that will take place this coming Sunday, February 3, to benefit the Down Lorca Association, organized by the Association of Solidarity Hiking the Region of Murcia, Portichuelo Trails Pliego and the Hiking Club Acho Cieza, and that has the collaboration of the Department of Sports of Lorca.
Bayonas has indicated that the route, which will have a distance of 12 kilometers and low difficulty, is expected to leave at 9 am from La Merced, from where it will go to the Castle, then go to the Cejo de los Enamorados and return to the point of departure.
In addition, a shorter route has been organized so that the youngest ones can do it, which will have to be accompanied by their parents.
The Sports Councilor has encouraged everyone to participate in this solidarity test with which you can enjoy the landscape of the vicinity of the Castle of Lorca and the Cejo de los Enamorados, and do it, in addition, in the company of family and friends.
The mayor added that "again the sport has that dual aspect that we like to talk about, on the one hand, solidarity and the fact of being able to raise funds for Down Lorca to continue developing its daily activity and on the other, exercise outdoors, improving our well-being and physical condition ".
The inscriptions, whose deadline ends this Friday, February 1, have a price of 6 euros for the insured in mountain and 9 euros for the uninsured.
Children under 10 years old will not pay registration.
To sign up for the march, you have to enter a link that appears on the website of the "Asociación de Senderismo Solidario de la Región de Murcia" or through the Facebook page of Down Lorca, where you can also read step by step how to download the registration and the steps to follow.
Those interested can also register at the headquarters of Down Lorca.
The test also has the collaboration of the Lorca Santiago Association, the Club Senderista La Carrasca, the Forum of Physical Education and Sports of Lorca, and the Mountain Grouping and Sigismondi Senderista.
