Based on the solution collected in the Informative Study, the construction of an underground section for double high-speed track and the underground station of Sutullena in the same location as the current one is contemplated.
Adif Alta Velocidad (Adif AV) has tendered a consultancy and technical assistance contract for the drafting of basic projects and construction of a platform and station for the integration of the railway in Lorca (Murcia).
The bidding budget amounts to 1,982,705 euros (VAT included) and the execution period is 15 months.
The contract focuses on the drafting of basic projects and platform construction of the Arterial Ferroviaria Network (RAF) of the Murcian city, from the Lorca-San Diego station to the end of the south ramp, including the Lorca station -Sutullena.
The project will develop the starting solution contemplated in the Informative Study of Urban Integration and adaptation to High Performance of the railway network of Lorca, provisionally approved by the Ministry of Public Works on October 29, 2018. In addition, the allegations received will be taken into account in the period of public information and the solution contained in the final approval document of the aforementioned Informative Study.
The main characteristics of the solution to be developed in the project are the construction of an underground section between screens, the interruption of the line during the execution of the works starting from the San Diego station, the design of a platform for double track of high electrified speed, an underground layout in the central area of ​​the railway crossing and coordination with other infrastructures.
With respect to Sutullena station, a new underground station is contemplated in the current location to provide services for conventional and high-speed traffic, defining a functional scheme with two general roads and a section with two platforms of 400 m in length .
