Isidro Abellán has returned to show his concern about the delay and the paralysis that affects the works of the auditorium of Santa Quiteria.
"Very little or nothing has been known about that ad, with all of a sudden, that López Miras and Gil Jódar knew how to do, when they assured that they were going to destine 7 million euros for the second phase and the completion of the works of the Auditorium and center of fairs and congresses ".
Abellán recalled that on March 7, 2018, "almost a year ago", López Miras and Gil Jódar announced the signing of an agreement between the Autonomous Community and the City of Lorca, amounting to 7 million euros, with destiny to the equipment and the conditioning of the interior of the Auditorium, in which, by the way, they have already invested nearly 7 million euros.
"Already then, they assured that it had executed around 65% of the totality of the project, and that these works would be finalized this first quarter of 2019, that is to say, in the dates in which we are".
The socialist mayor has indicated that "we are at the beginning of the year, a year has passed since this announcement, and in all this time, have not advanced anything."
"From the auditorium there is today the same as there was a year ago, that is, the shell," he adds.
Therefore, the PSOE has demanded today Gil Jódar to clarify the reasons why the refurbishment and equipment inside the Auditorium are standing.
"The Lorca do not want an audience like Puerto Lumbreras, of which we only have the concrete structure with cobwebs inside."
Abellán urges Gil Jódar to "work" and "put the batteries."
"We have to remember that these 7 million are also subject to the EIB loan, and that means they have until the next December 31."
Therefore, the PSOE again ask the current Mayor to request an extension to Europe because, otherwise, Gil Jódar will be punishing the next corporation that leaves the polls in May to carry with this "heritage of millionaire works without finish ", among which is, in addition to the audience, sections I, II and III of the round;

the regeneration of this neighborhood, old port road, Santa Clara, Jerónimo Santa Fe, Avenida Europa.

From the PSOE ask Gil Jódar to "comply and do their homework", so as not to put at risk the necessary investments to make projects like this a reality.
"Lorca needs, as soon as possible, that the auditorium is in operation, that IFELOR be set up and set up, because for us it will be a key part of our city project, aimed at making the auditorium and the fairground a prestigious institution to return Lorca to the place of regional and national reference in the organization of fairs and events of all kinds and throughout the year, Lorca has to shine again and that is our goal ", highlights Abellán.
"It can not be that Lorca, the third city by importance of this Region, is outside the regional map of Culture", in relation to the data made public by the Observatory of Culture.
