It is a consensus initiative with the neighbors in the different meetings that the Mayor, Fulgencio Gil, has been keeping within his regular contacts with all social groups in the municipality.
It benefits an area of ​​2,200 m2.
The Councilor for Development in the City of Lorca, Angel Mecca, has reported that the City Council has proceeded to improve the vicinity of the medical office and social premises of the deputation of Marchena, which have materialized in the asphalting of the roads that they circle and communicate.
We are talking about a total area of ​​2,200 m2, the improvement of which involves the refurbishment of the recreation and socialization area that residents themselves often use to develop different coexistence initiatives.
Angel Meca explained that the municipal intervention has been agreed with neighborhood groups, and responds to the work plan that is being developed by the City Council to contribute to improving the quality of life of Lorca residing in districts.
The municipal action that has materialized has included the preparation of the existing esplanade in the area, proceeding to carry out a deep cleaning until an expedited area is reached, including the tasks leading to the removal of material and improvement of the road surface through the establishment of a gravel artificial.
The Development Minister has indicated that this project has also contemplated the paving of the resulting esplanade based on hot bituminous mix (asphalt), with a thickness of 4 cm, after priming irrigation on the ground.
The paving has been extended along 30 linear meters of street belonging to the urbanization that were still on land, in addition, to carry out multiple punctual repairs of pavement in other areas, some of which are still being developed.
Ángel Meca explained that these works represent a municipal investment of 22,801.12 euros from the Pedanías Plan that fully finances the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, and from which our councils are directly benefiting.
We can anticipate that from the City Council we will continue to develop our project for the districts, deepening the investments we have planned, and for which we have the full support of the Regional Government, and we await the approval of the Decree Law that Lorca requires to be able to execute the 3 million euros that the current central government owes to the Lorca.
It should be remembered that Lorca has the second largest municipal district in Spain, in which we find 39 districts, in addition to the neighborhoods and the urban area of ​​the city itself.
We are a municipality whose size, size and diversity requires a particular effort on the part of the Consistory to provide all its deputations with the services and investments that their neighbors deserve, as is the case of the communications network (roads and highways), educational centers (colleges and institutes), assistance (doctors' offices), and citizen services and attention (decentralization offices and social premises), as well as security, water (supply and sanitation network) and cleaning through Limusa, as main issues .
