The secretary of Youth of Podemos in the Region, Lorena Lorca, highlights that the 125 million euros presented for the next 5 years by the Government of López-Miras "will not be destined to improve the living conditions of young Murcians by what results in an absolute failure ".
The head of Youth Lorena Lorca has remarked that "the regional government lives away from the reality that young people suffer." We must give priority to the basic problems of young people such as job insecurity, the Basic Income of Emancipation, and the deep improvement of scholarships for students, without that, we will not have done anything
In addition, Lorca has questioned the words of the Regional President, who said that the initiatives contained in the Regional Government's Youth Plan were carried out by 350 groups.
For Lorca, "López Miras talks about the Youth Plan drawn up by the youth associations, when, precisely, a parallel youth platform has been created in view of the Government's inability to organize anything to meet the demands of these youth groups in a way that effective".
In this regard, he added that "the model of the Youth Council that the Government proposes to us is a wet paper, a structure with little participation and little democracy, incapable of promoting youth policies that are so necessary in our Region."
Thus, Lorca has noted that "from Podemos, we believe that youth policy in a territory with such a young population, as the Region of Murcia, must be fundamental in the institutional action."
Finally, the Secretary of Youth of Podemos has advanced that the Parliamentary Group We can in the Regional Assembly has registered a series of initiatives addressed to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports requesting specific information on this Youth Plan.
