The Alameda de la Constitución will host until March 3 the exhibition "Hidden Heroes, Great Inventions, Everyday Objects" organized by "la Caixa" (15/02/2019)

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, and the commercial director of CaixaBank in the Region of Murcia, Granada and Almeria, Amador Carmona, inaugurated this morning the exhibition "Hidden Heroes, Great Inventions, Everyday Objects".

The exhibition, organized by "la Caixa" with the collaboration of the Vitra Design Museum, is presented at the Alameda de la Constitución with the support of the Lorca Consistory.

Fulgencio Gil has indicated that "on this occasion, the entity presents" Hidden Heroes.

Objetos cotidianos ", an innovative exhibition of the design of those elements that make up our routine and our customs, elements designed to make everyday life more practical and comfortable, and that have lasted over time, some of them practically without modifications, transcending with all certainty the own pretensions of their creators, inventions, all of them, that go unnoticed in our day to day, already accustomed to their habitual use, but that have modulated our existence in a conclusive and evident way ".

The Mayor of Lorca has added that "the hidden heroes are objects that have been manufactured millions of times, but they are still indispensable in everyday life, they have proven their worth over and over again and, in essence, they have remained unchanged for decades. From today until March 3 all Lorca who wish may visit this exhibition of everyday objectives among which we can find the pencil, the clip, the umbrella, the sticky notes, the light bulb, the pen, the mop, the botijo ​​and can, among others, in the Alameda de la Constitución.The hours from Monday to Friday will be from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., while on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 a.m. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm It should be noted that this exhibition also offers the possibility of guided visits and visits for schoolchildren.

Gil stressed that "both institutions, City and la Caixa, we have defined a portfolio of joint services in the municipality that allows to promote culture and respond to the needs of homes Lorca and optimize the economic resources allocated to these families, therefore, we must once again express our gratitude to "la Caixa", for continuing to collaborate in enhancing the culture in our city with its support for the Theater School Contest, the election of the Holy Week poster, grandparents storytelling, the Week of Active Aging, ... as well as his work in favor of the most needy thanks to numerous projects such as Caixa Proinfancia, workshops, inclusive activities and scholarships for the training of young athletes, among others ".
