The Councilor for Youth of the City of Lorca, Agustín Llamas, along with Ekaterina Sherer, of the Cazalla Intercultural Association, and Francisco García, director of the Adult Education Center "Alto Guadalentín", have presented some informative days to be held next Friday February 22, starting at 9.30 am, at Huerto Ruano.

These days, of a national nature, deal with "Cultural integration and languages, challenges and opportunities".

Ekaterina Sherer and Francisco García explained that "during this event, which we carried out in collaboration with the Lorca Consistory, we will present the Didactic Guide as a result of the 'Learning Zone' project, co-funded by the Erasmus + Program of the European Union, focused on strategies for Support the development of key competences, especially through language teaching, in immigrant and refugee communities and thus facilitate their integration. "

In addition, the results of the course on new approaches to language classes for immigrants and refugees, made online and in which 450 teachers and volunteers who work with immigrants from more than 20 countries in Europe and other continents, will be announced. .

During the day there will also be a space for dialogue between the parties involved in the integration of immigrants, such as the associations that work with them, schools, immigrant associations and politicians.

In the same way, in this meeting practical workshops will be carried out by Spanish experts on intercultural education in the language classroom for immigrants;

non-formal methodology and adult education: approaches, methods and practical tools;

and language teaching and cultural integration.
