Diego José Mateos: "Our SOL project, with solutions for Lorca, includes the installation of the second Lorca emergency service in the neighborhood" (20/02/2019)

Mateos: "Our emergency services are saturated, by population and by entity, Lorca needs a second emergency service, and we will fight, govern who governs, so that our neighbors have the health care they deserve"

The candidate for Mayor of Lorca, Diego José Mateos has announced that in his project SOL, with solutions for Lorca, contemplate the recovery of the emergency service in the neighborhood, after the Popular Party closed it in 2015 against the neighbors of the area.

"One of the solutions for Lorca, for which we are going to work, and to fight, govern who governs, is to get a second SUAP in Lorca, which we will install in the neighborhood."

Mateos has indicated that "by population, and being knowledgeable in addition to the saturation presented by the outpatient emergency services with which we have in the municipality of Lorca, our city has a second SUAP, in addition to the one we have in Sutullena".

Diego José Mateos has assured that "the data speak for themselves", in relation to the saturation that presents, in particular, SUUL of Sutullena.

Among patients seen in the center and also at home, the only Lorca SUAP serves more than 45,000 patients a year, which places it at the head of the centers with the highest care burden in the Region of Murcia.

"All this load, with only two doctors, two nurses, a caretaker, a technician and a security guard who can not cover all the hours."

Against this, the socialist spokesman stressed, "meanwhile, by way of example, in the capital, in the Murcia-Infanta SUAP have an extra daily reinforcement, doctor and nurse, than the SUAP of Lorca, with 11,000 more patients , does not have it".

With the data in hand, Mateos reproaches Gil Jódar not being able to be "demanding" with the Regional Government before the "manifest discrimination" that we suffer in Lorca.

"We are not worth it because they are their own party comrades, on whom regional health depends, Gil Jódar is submissive, silent in the face of such a situation."

"If there is one thing I am clear about, it is that a mayor, govern whoever governs, has to be demanding, because above the interests of the party, are the interests of your citizens."

Mateos insists that "it is not possible for Lorca's SUAP, having twice as many patients as the majority of SUAPs in the Region, and in some cases, almost three times as many, that we have only one SUAP, and that there is not even a single reinforcement. staff journal, as they do in the city of Murcia. "

One of the reasons that lead to this abuse to the population of Lorca, assures Mateos, is the "discrimination on a political level" with respect to Murcia and Cartagena.

"There is a fundamental aspect that emerges from studying the figures, and that is that the three SUAPs in health area III are the most saturated in the entire Region."

"This is not coincidence: it is the consequence of the malfunctioning of primary care in the entire area III of Lorca.12 days of delay are being given to the primary doctor, which leads to the saturation of emergency services , who is going to wait for his illness, an episode of fever or any other health problem, up to twelve days ".

"The Lorca do not want to be more, but not less than the rest of Murcia," says Mateos.
