The Deputy Spokesperson of the Government Team in the City of Lorca, Fátima Mínguez, has encouraged all Lorca, and particularly to the neighbors and merchants of this area, to participate in the official opening ceremony of the comprehensive improvement works Alameda de Cervantes and adjacent streets, which will be held tomorrow Friday from 18:00 h having as a meeting point the new roundabout of Cruce del Gato, which has been installed a commemorative sculpture of the great Spanish writer who gives his name to this way.
From there, a theatrical route will be initiated, guided by a character who will play the aforementioned author.
On the occasion of this act, there will also be recreational areas for the leisure of the youngest, which will have inflatables, a playroom, an area for games and animation workshops, among other elements, as well as a photocall, storytelling and the presence of several popular cartoon characters.
This is an event that celebrates the culmination of improvement works that have managed to provide this area lorquina of 18,205 m2 of cobblestone, 2 kilometers of water supply network, 152 meters of networks for wastewater, 375 of networks for rainwater , more than 2.5 kilometers of irrigation water network, and more than 3.2 kilometers of state-of-the-art LED lighting with built-in remote management.
The works have been financed entirely by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, through the Ministry of Development, with an investment of 3.2 million euros.
The City Council has anticipated that in the next few days will begin an advertising campaign through the media to encourage consumption in commercial establishments in this area, which will include insertions in the reference municipalities of both Guadalentín Valley and the Almanzora, for which our city is the county seat.
