The PP requires a Law Decree that rewards 50% of the IBI and cancels the interests of the aid to those affected by the earthquake (25/02/2019)

The popular advance that if Pedro Sanchez is determined to give back to Lorca, one of the first actions of Pablo Casado as next President of the Government will be to approve a package of measures that also includes the agreement of 3 million euros that the State owes to Lorca for districts.

The President of the Popular Party of Lorca, and mayor of the city, Fulgencio Gil, and the National Deputy for our Region, Isabel Borrego, have informed that one of the first measures that Pablo Casado will approve after being elected President, will be the approval of a package of special measures to solve the problems that the current government is causing to Lorca, especially those affected by earthquakes, and which will include the 50% bonus on the Real Estate Tax (IBI), as well as the cancellation of the part State of the interests of aid to the victims, and the transfer of 3 million euros to Lorca to execute investments in districts.

The National Deputy has highlighted that from the Popular Parliamentary Group in the Congress of Deputies we continue working to get the current central government to stop turning its back on those affected by earthquakes and resolve the issues that we put on the table.

Our last initiative, presented at the end of last week, has been a Proposition No of Law claiming that they articulate the necessary means to apply the IBI bonus.

Pedro Sanchez is not fulfilling with the Lorca, has not done anything either to renounce his part of the interests of the aid of those affected by the earthquakes, something that we demanded through an initiative for months, and that the Autonomous Community undertook to do and fulfilled.

However, they have not processed it, nor have they done anything.

While, paradoxically, they have approved issues that were neither necessary nor urgent.

Isabel Borrego also explained that the dynamics of the Chamber would allow to approve this Decree Law in the Permanent Deputation.

In fact, this measure is used for other things that are not urgent, and it is clear that meeting the needs of those affected by the Lorca earthquake is urgent and necessary.

The reality is that we have a President who ignores the Lorca, obvious to Lorca, and instead of working on what is urgent and necessary, is dedicated to promote your book and fly.

The President of the Lorca PP, Fulgencio Gil, explained that there are already 4 initiatives that have been carried out by the Popular Parliamentary Group in Congress, showing the commitment of this party to help people.

Thus, on August 21 we presented an initiative (PNL) requesting the cancellation of the interests of the State so that those affected by earthquakes can justify their aid.

On October 30, we again claim through a partial amendment to the State budget project both the bonus of 50% of the IBI and the extension of the agreement amounting to 3 million euros, and last week, specifically on February 21 , we propose an NLP again so that 50% of the IBI is rewarded to those affected by the earthquakes.

Fulgencio Gil has stressed that there are 4 legislative measures that ratify the commitment of the PP in this regard.

What Lorca demands is that a Royal Decree Law be issued to solve these issues.

In fact if they want tomorrow they can do it because they have announced that they will continue to govern by Decree Law. The truth is that they have not moved a finger for Lorca, they have not done anything, neither in infrastructures nor in earthquake issues.

We demand that you move the tab now.

During the years in which we have governed this country for years, we have demonstrated our firm commitment to Lorca.

Now there are only a few issues that have not wanted to make from the PSOE, but if they do not, we will do them.
