The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, presented this morning the extensive program organized by the City Council, with the help of a large number of local groups, to commemorate the "International Women's Day" that is celebrated on March 8.
Fulgencio Gil has pointed out that "under the slogan" Bordemos la igualdad ", the City Council has created a broad, demanding, participatory and plural program with the intention of proclaiming a message of equality that deeply affects the conscience of our society, especially Our young people, and what better way to do it than the hand of a score of social groups that actively participate in this campaign with the aim that it becomes an instrument in favor of equal opportunities and awareness of the role of women in society".
The Mayor of Lorca stressed that "what is intended through this campaign is to disseminate and make visible the contributions and contributions of different types of women in various areas of our society."
