The good pace of the construction works of the new Logistics Base of Limusa will allow the company's workers to start using it in just 3 months (27/02/2019)

The City Council has expanded the original project at the request of the professionals of the departments of the company to incorporate other services of the sections, which will result in a better performance of the service and more efficiency in the tasks of urban cleaning for all Lorca.

The Mayor of Lorca, Fulgencio Gil, has supervised this morning the progress that is being made in the construction works of the new Logistics Base of the municipal cleaning company Limusa, together with its delegate councilor, Juan Francisco Martínez.

The First Edil reported that the original project has been expanded with the aim of incorporating services from other sections of the company, allowing the end result to configure more functional and operational facilities for workers, which will translate into better performance of service and greater efficiency in urban cleaning for all Lorca.

The Mayor has anticipated that, according to the forecasts available to the technicians of the work, at the end of May the workers in the street cleaning and waste collection section will be working already in the new facilities of the Logistics Base. works of the future operational base and logistics of Limusa have been enhanced, including some operational improvements that will result in a better use of space and greater utility of the facilities, allowing, for example, the storage and laundry service of other departments of the municipal mercantile

The facilities will incorporate a forklift in the main building to access a new space not contemplated in the original project.

It is an above-ground coat of approximately 300 square meters that will act as a warehouse of material.

In addition, an own industrial washing service will be incorporated for the cleaning services of the Interior service.

The work, which runs on a plot of 14,000 square meters, has an investment of around 2 million euros and includes an administration building (with a meeting room, dining room and changing rooms), a workshop, warehouses and a car wash;

judicial deposit with 199 places;

and parking for vehicles and trucks, booth to control access to the premises and booth pressure groups, as well as its own hydrocarbon pump.

The good pace of the work has achieved that, nowadays, the lighting of the park has already been executed, which will use LED technology to reduce energy consumption, the cardboard compacting ramp and the car washes.

In addition, the water collector from the overflow of the municipal swimming pools of the Felipe VI sports complex has been completed, which will be reused for irrigation of landscaping, washing of the fleet of vehicles and washing machines, thanks to a storage tank of 200 cubic meters. capacity.

To date, it has been the most complex infrastructure to perform.

At the urban level, the perimeter retaining wall (fencing) has already been executed 90%, and the gardening and paving, the parking lot (foundations and pillars) are also advanced and the filling of the esplanade has begun.

We must remember that to achieve the least possible visual impact, the urbanization integrates more than 1,800 m2 of planters, both in the perimeter of the enclosure and in the interior of the plot, with irrigation from the same water recovery of the attached municipal swimming pools .

The species chosen for the plantation of trees and shrubs are cypresses, oleanders, rosemary, abelina and lantana, whose mission will be to create a pleasant and peaceful environment.
